Propellerhead has released Reason 8.3, an update that introduces the new RV7000 mkII, a convolution reverb that is designed to “sound amazing, inspire new ideas, and spark creativity”. A user can select from a broad selection of reverbs to suit the sound of any genre or project or create their own otherworldly reverb effects by sampling or loading their own impulse responses.
The Reason 8.3 update also includes many other requested features. Access the browser window from both the sequencer and the rack window. Hit the Z key and quickly zoom to and from a selection. Set MIDI focus in the rack without going to the sequencer. Plus, there are numerous other enhancements and bug fixes intended to make music creation even smoother.
Reason 8.3 also gives a user access to the newly introduced Propellerhead music-making service, which is continually updated with new features and functionality based on customer feedback. This free music making service connects the free Figure and Take mobile apps with the Reason music production software, so a user can create, share, collaborate and remix with other musicians around the globe.
Reason 8.3 is a free downloadable update for Reason 8 owners.
